Funding

Innovation is at the heart of the Centre’s approach. Through our grants programme, we support bold ideas, experimental methods, and collaborative projects that push the boundaries of public engagement across disciplines, sectors, and communities.

We fund partnerships between researchers in the arts, humanities, and social sciences and partners from a range of sectors. These include the creative and cultural industries, such as galleries, museums, archives and libraries (GLAM), and the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector, such as charities and community groups. This is delivered through two new grant schemes:

Collaboration and Innovation Grant

This grant brings together researchers, public engagement professionals, cultural and creative partners, charities, and community groups to co-design and deliver interdisciplinary and experimental public engagement projects.

Community Connections Grant

This grant challenges traditional models of public engagement by recognising and supporting community expertise. It enables communities to lead arts and humanities public engagement activities, working in partnership with a researcher.
