Community Connections Grant
The Community Connections Grant will support community-driven public engagement projects that centre equity, dialogue, and collaborative knowledge-making. The grant is grounded in the belief that communities themselves are best placed to define their needs, priorities, and approaches to research and engagement, and that academic researchers should act as partners and supporters, rather than drivers, of this work.
An arts, humanities or social sciences researcher will support communities in producing a project around an issue, idea or topic that is important to the community.
Currently in its pilot phase, we are providing funding and support to up to three community groups to develop a project that engages with their community’s interests. Learning and insights from this process will shape the open call that launches next year, ensuring we take an equitable and informed approach to grant delivery.
Are you a researcher who wants to get involved?
We’re looking for researchers who are interested in being involved in the Community Connections Grant full scheme, which will launch in Summer 2026.
Read more about the grant in the Information Pack and complete the Expression of Interest form by August 2026.
