Co-designing with Communities

Tuesday 15 June, 1.30-3.00pm
Co-designing with Communities is part of a series of online training sessions, run by the Centre for Public Engagement Practice in Arts and Humanities, exploring participatory and collaborative approaches to public engagement. This workshop introduces key principles and approaches to co-designing with communities.
A group of older women sit at a table in a cafe space, wearing aprons and chatting over craft materials.

This free, online training session will introduce key principles and approaches to co-design, using case studies, frameworks and interactive activities to:

  • build confidence in using co-design principles
  • understand when to use co-design and its limitations
  • how to approach co-design in your specific context and sector

This session will be delivered by Dr David Tross, Associate Lecturer at Birkbeck, University of London.

Who should attend?

This session has been designed for individuals who are fairly new to co-design, or looking for a refresher. We hope it will be a useful session for academics and researchers at different career levels working in a range of humanities subjects, professional services staff from universities, public engagement professionals and staff from community, cultural and charitable organisations.
